The Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Naples is the premier performing arts hall in Southwest Florida, hosting more than 400 events a year including world-class dance, opera, classical and popular music and Broadway musicals.

The Philharmonic Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization established under the laws of the state of Florida. The mission of the Philharmonic Center is to enrich the cultural fiber of Southwest Florida by presenting a full schedule of international-caliber performing and visual arts, and offering outreach and education programs for the community. The Philharmonic Center opened 95-percent debt free in 1989 and has grown in net worth each season since, thanks to the generous support of the community.

The Philharmonic Center for the Arts is unique among arts centers in that it features both the performing and visual arts in a single complex and also hosts a resident orchestra. In addition to the 1,221-seat main hall and a 200-seat black box theater, the Phil has four museum-quality art galleries, which showcase traveling and exclusive exhibitions. Each season, the Phil is host to more than 400 individual events. Although the heaviest season is between October and April, the Center hosts events year-round, including summer children's presentations. The Center also provides programs for groups and schools.

The Naples Players (TNP) is a community theatre company located in Naples, Florida. The company was founded in 1953 and performs in the Sugden Community Theatre at 701 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples. It has been named the "Best Live Theatre" in Southwest Florida (including professional theaters) nine times by the readers poll of The Naples Daily News.

The Naples Players Organization was founded in February 1953. Its first production, I Remember Mama by John Van Druten, was performed in the auditorium of what is now Gulfview Middle School. The group soon incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation and performed where it could in its first 22 years of existence in the Naples area, from local schools and storefronts to homes. In 1975, they established a home base for the next decade when a 40-seat playhouse was opened at 2363 Davis Boulevard. In 1985, TNP converted the now demolished Kon-Tiki movie theatre on Goodlette-Frank Road. As the years passed, both the membership and audience for the company grew. However, as TNP entered its fourth decade of existence in the mid-1990s, the Kon-Tiki Playhouse began to suffer from a crumbling facade and mechanical breakdowns, and it soon became clear that a new location was necessary. Following an unprecedented fund raising campaign, and a partnership with City of Naples in choosing a suitable location, over $6 million was raised to build the Sugden Community Theatre in downtown Naples on a site provided by the City, which was completed in 1998. The Sugden Theatre sits only two blocks south of Gulfview Middle School, where TNP staged its first production in 1953. Today, the company stages productions year-round, has a dues paying membership of 500 plus, and features the talents of volunteer actors, directors, designers and crew drawn from across Southwest Florida. The Theatre currently plays to an audience of over 65,000 patrons and season subscription holders annually.

Gulfshore Playhouse is Naples’ first and finest self producing-professional theatre company, currently producing exclusively at the Norris Center in downtown Naples. Gulfshore Playhouse is passionately devoted to creating nationally noteworthy professional theatre – from the powerful and inspiring classics, to innovative new works. It is unwaveringly committed to bringing the best theatre professionals in our country to the stages and the classrooms of Southwest Florida.
Through its educational program, ART SMART, which is currently up and running in both Collier and Lee County, theatre-based workshops are brought into classrooms during the school day to teach curriculum content. Correlating with the Sunshine State Standards, these workshops teach literacy and numeracy skills while fostering self-esteem, self-confidence and cooperative learning.
