A great round of golf is enjoyable and when you add in the history of our course, nostalgic experience takes on a new meaning. Built in the late 1920s, Allen Joslin, married to the heir of the Jergens hand lotion fortune, built the first 18-hole golf course in Naples which is now part of our Florida beach resort. Acquired by Henry Broadwell Watkins Sr in 1946, the golf course along with the adjacent Beach Club has grown into what is known as The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.
Built in the late 1920's, the course was redesigned by Mark Mahanna in 1948 and then subsequently redesigned three times between 1980-1998 by Ron Garl. To continue to provide a fresh experience, the resort refurbished the greens and tees in 2010 and completed a refurbishment of the fairways during the Summer of 2011.
Voted "Southwest Florida's Best Public Course" and "Top 50 Women Friendly Golf Courses" are just a couple of the accolades received.

For long game and driving accuracy the mowing patterns of the center of the range give the visual of a fairway enhancing the sensation of playing on the course.

Welcome to The Club at The Strand. In the heart of The Strand community lies our Championship 27-hole golf course designed by renowned architect Gordon Lewis. We feature 3 9-hole courses, The Sabal, Savannah and Preserve and each course offers its own distinct challenge.
The courses offer six (6) sets of tees to accommodate all levels of playability. For the ladies, the Gold tees are a nice challenge for lower handicap players and the red tees shorten things up just a bit and allow our mid to high handicappers avoid some of the longer carries. For the men, our black tees are all you can handle, even for a scratch player. The black tees stretch out to almost 7300 yards. Our white tees measure about 5700 yards. Starting in 2006, our Gold tees were rated for all our senior golfers.
