Naples Florida General Information...

Here in Naples, it's said that life in this subtropical coastal city is perpetually sunny and sophisticated, making it one of the hottest places on the planet to relocate to and even retire. If you like the beach, golfing, fishing, boating — or any outdoor activity — every season is the perfect season in Naples.

The winter tends to be the busiest time of year, when snowbirds escape to Naples to soak in the southwest Florida sunshine. Fishing is fabulous this time of year, particularly for reeling in big game fish. With temperatures approaching 80 degrees F in the daytime and only dropping to just under 70 degrees F at night, it's ideal for that romantic walk on the beach or dinner at an outdoor café. Summer tends to be less crowded and with temperatures sometimes creeping into the 90s F during the day, a dip in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico provides welcome relief from the heat.

Even though it's humid in the summer, the average temperature is only 82 degrees F, so Naples remains an ideal summer vacation getaway. During the warmer months, Naples takes on a quieter, more cosmopolitan feel with many Europeans taking advantage of discounted hotel rates and package deals. Yet in the summer, it's like everyone is on holiday here, cooling off in the gentle waves while soaking in the gorgeous afternoon sun. When it's time for a break from the beach, there's plenty to do in the way Naples attractions — all of which are conveniently and comfortably air-conditioned.

In the fall, the fun continues with a Sand Sculpting Festival, the Annual Folk and Blues Festival and the Hibiscus Festival.
